Urban Renewal: In addition to 'Historic Buildings' work, the partnership has a strong track record in urban renewal projects. Redundant and sometimes derelict commercial and industrial buildings have been transformed for new uses by contemporary design and imaginative planning.
Rhymney Enterprise Centre provides a mix of units for new businesses in Rhymney, South Wales. The substantial stone buildings of the former Whitbread bottling plant have been linked together with new blocks, housing entrances, stairs and lifts. Within the original single height buildings, two new floors were inserted along with new window openings to create new business units of varying sizes.
